Sr Project Manager Facilities North America

As the Facility department we strive to provide an outstanding operating environment for our employees, visitors and business partners. We deliver projects from conception to completion and report directly to the Global Facilities leader. Projects include facilities construction, site expansion and adaptations, and the installation of technical equipment. This role is based in Hillsboro, Oregon, and will support all North America projects although you will be encouraged to support activities at other MSD sites. Regular travel is needed.
What are your responsibilities?
Together with the EMEA project leader we drive the strategic project pipeline for facilities, plan timelines for delivery and define project scopes. We run multiple projects across several sites and leading cross- functional workstreams to plan and deliver results. You facilitate and lead cross-functional facilities and operations projects from inception to completion - collaborating with other functions to define and meet project scopes, schedules, quality targets and budgets. In addition, you align program/project goals and expectations with key partners and ensure the program implementation across workstreams and business groups (including the corporate functions Real Estate, Security, EH&S, Quality, Risk Management, Sustainability and Global Sourcing). The projects are governed through Facility Review Meetings. We have a Facilities Project Playbook that will be followed for the execution of projects, including the following:

- Clearly communicate the status of facilities projects and activities. Meeting the weekly and monthly reporting cadence and ad-hoc reports using standard business temples.
- Provide oversight of work performed by contractors, architects, engineers and providers of equipment and facilities services. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, national and international legislation and adherence to company rules and regulations (IMS and EMS).
- Ensure complete equipment, building, and infrastructure documentation including up-to-date drawings, specifications, operating instructions, and maintenance records are held in a locally accessible location.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
- BSc in Engineering or a related technical field is required or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills. Plus several years of experience in leading site level facilities projects. Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D software.
- Leadership competences, especially in using systems-based approaches to problem solving and achieving objectives. Experience developing and leading project teams with a strong dedication to organizational change and communication.
- Dependability regarding completion of assignments and attendance, well organized with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and multi disciplinary environment
- Proficient in English
