As a Senior Product Compliance Engineer you will be an integral part of the product development team and influence an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design Kuiper products. Oversee and ensure Kuiper products are designed, tested, and certified to comply with worldwide regulatory requirements. You must be a technical leader and subject matter expert with a deep working knowledge of RF / EMC compliance, consumer electronics, wireless devices, and technology.
You will have a strong understanding of regulatory compliance strategy and the processes required to determine relevant compliance requirements to test, certify, and enable market access for Kuiper products. The Senior Compliance Engineer will also work with engineering, operations, legal, licensing legal, and sustaining to ensure Kuiper devices stay in compliance throughout their product lifetimes.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Product Compliance Engineer , you will be a part of the team of experts working on the development of advanced Customer Terminal products. You will own or contribute to the following:
• Drive a standardized and harmonized approach to Regulatory Compliance for Kuiper.
• Establish a cohesive Compliance Strategy for the development, testing, and certification of Kuiper devices; working with engineering development teams, including the product/program managers
• Determine and interpret the relevant regulatory standards for Kuiper devices.
• Participate in mechanical and electrical design reviews to ensure EMC/EMI and RF (Ka/Wi-Fi/BT) mitigations are properly implemented in the designs.
• Actively educate the development teams on regulatory requirements and impact of key engineering decisions on compliance; help guide compliant design development and verify compliance through test debug and validation activities.
• Work with internal labs to pre-test and validate Kuiper products from a hardware and test software development perspective.
• Technical leader able to utilize deep knowledge and experience to support oversite of 3rd party formal compliance testing.
• Support collection of required technical data for Ka License submissions.
• Over-see filing of official paperwork and final approval from the proper government or regulatory bodies (FCC/CE/TELEC/WPC for WLAN, WAN and industry certifications.
• Responsible for determining regulatory artwork for labels as required by certification bodies
• Stay up to date on any changes to global agency approvals and testing procedures
of modules, subsystems, and Customer Terminals
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
- 5+ years of experience leading regulatory compliance certification campaigns for commercial electronics.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with the project management of technical projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
