JOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Product Manager, you will collaborate with senior leadership to create the product vision and strategy, leading cross-functional teams and overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle. Your extensive understanding of Pharmacy management system technology, combined with your strategic acumen, will guide the creation of transformative products that revolutionize pharmacy operations and elevate patient care.
In line with the broader commercial strategy set by the Director and/or Manager of the team, the Senior Product Manager manages the research, business cases, development, and launches of products within a portfolio. This job works with a large degree of independence, works directly with customers, and may provide guidance to less experienced Product Management professionals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Roadmap Leadership: Develop and orchestrate a strategic product roadmap (in conjunction withthe Manager or Director of the group), optimizing feature prioritization and resource allocationfor maximum impact on business goals. During annual operating plan meetings and similarstrategic discussions, provides actionable insights from market intelligence and product researchto support the Director and other business unit leaders.
- Product Vision: Define and articulate a compelling product vision that aligns with companyobjectives, addressing complex healthcare challenges and aligning with emerging industry trends.
- Financial Accountability: Understand the drivers of product profitability and assist leadership inensuring that products are hitting financial targets including budgeted revenue and margingrowth.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify evolving trends, competitive
landscape dynamics, and high-impact innovation opportunities. - Requirement Strategy: Collaborate with key stakeholders, industry experts, and executive
leadership to drive the product strategy, gathering profound insights to shape visionary product
roadmaps. - Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams, seamlessly
orchestrating efforts across engineering, design, sales, marketing, and executive leadership.
Provides guidance to less-experienced Product Management professionals and may assist in
internal trainings or mentorship on behalf of the Director. - Human-Centered Design: Champion a user-centric design philosophy, ensuring the creation of
interfaces and experiences that amplify pharmacists' capabilities and expertise. - Iterative Excellence: Implement iterative development methodologies, utilizing advanced data
analysis and user feedback to drive continuous product enhancements and optimizations. - Go-to-Market Mastery: Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to craft sophisticated
go-to-market strategies that establish the product as an industry standard. - Performance Analytics: Define and monitor an extensive range of performance metrics,
translating data insights into strategic decisions and tactical improvements. Conducts product
pilot tests, customer trials, focus groups, and other product concept testing to gather customer
feedback and to determine the product’s potential return on investment. Measures and evaluates
key performance indicators for the specific product to assess its’ potential viability and ongoing
performance. - Regulatory Compliance: Ensure rigorous adherence to regulatory compliance, industry standards,
and data security throughout the product lifecycle. - Subject Matter Expert: Be the expert regarding your product and act as a leader internally and
externally for your solution.
KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record (8+ years) of impactful Pharmacy software design, and integration for retail chains as well as independent focused software.
- Proven track record (8+ years) of Application Interface design and centralized integration methodologies.
- Preferred background on Master patient indexing and data centralization.
- Deep understanding of pharmacy operations, retail pharmacy workflows, and the challenges faced by pharmacists and technicians in large retail chain settings as well as independents.
- Proficiency in agile product development methodologies, strategic planning, and executive-level communication. Ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and team motivation skills.
- Advanced analytical capabilities, driving data-driven approaches to decision-making.
- Demonstrated success in navigating regulatory compliance and healthcare data security.
- History of successfully launching and managing technology products at scale.
- Innate strategic thinking, able to seamlessly align product objectives with overarching company vision.
- Ability to establish relationships across the business as well as with our customers.
- Ability to contribute to business cases in an effective manner in order to gain buy-in and secure funding for investment.
