A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As Sr. Product Manager, Mobile, you’ll be responsible for the strategy and execution of the end-to-end customer experience of iOS and Android apps in Tandem Diabetes Care’s portfolio. With a focus on creating an experience that is easy to use, easy to adopt, easy to navigate and helps Tandem achieve our goal to simplify the lives of people with diabetes and create better outcomes for them.

You should have deep empathy for our customers, the ability to deliver results in an analytical, collaborative, and fast-paced environment, as well as demonstrate a proven track record of building and managing world-class, consumer-facing digital products across all phases of a product’s lifecycle in medical or other regulated industries. This role is open to fully remote work within the United States.
A Sr. Project Manager at Tandem:
- Obsesses over our apps – brings innovative ideas and the latest technology together to develop a seamless onboarding experience pairing with Tandem’s connected pumps, easy navigation, intuitive therapy management and an overall great experience for Tandem customers globally.
- Delivers high-quality product features and optimizations. Uses data to validate and communicate impact.
- Uses qualitative and quantitative data to develop an understanding of how customers engage, what matters to them and identify pain points.
- Writes and reviews product requirements and helps set vision and targets for key development ceremonies, including product backlog grooming and release planning.
- Collaborates with Tandem teammates from UX research, design, program management, engineering, quality and other disciplines to execute and deliver against goals and roadmap.
- Works closely with Regulatory Affairs to develop coordinated approaches to alignment on regulatory requirements.
- Utilizes data, insights, instincts, and experimentation to drive product decisions and translate into actionable roadmaps, aligning team objectives with company vision and goals.
- Defines success metrics and long-term strategic plans for your products.
- Solves ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
- Regularly review metrics and identify and improved data/mechanisms for visibility, ensuring your program stays aligned with company objectives.
- Function as an internal champion for mobile product and primary contact for related roadmap and strategy questions.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform product success.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop appropriate marketing strategies, training, and messaging for new and in-market products, including content for product education and training for patients and HCPs.
- Provide thought leadership in segmentation, positioning, and customer targeting.
- Communicates with management on iterations in product’s lifecycle, roadmap, and/or product performance issues.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and Regulatory requirements.
YOU’RE AWESOME AT:
- Ability to translate product strategies and new product ideas into detailed requirements that encompass the entire customer experience, as well as 1-3 year roadmaps.
- Experience with strategies that drive business growth, including acquisition and retention.
- A strong track record of leading teams, building trust and inspiring the people who work with you to execute flawlessly against both the long-term product vision and current priorities.
- Track record of developing, executing, and experimenting different enhancements that have a significant impact on the customer experience.
- Highly analytical, good at using data to form a hypothesis and defining metrics to determine the success of product initiatives.
- Ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Highly effective communication, judgment and interpersonal skills; ability to liaise seamlessly between functional teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment and establish cooperative relationships with peers and key functional owners.
- Thirst for delivering first-of-its-kind, game-changing products.
- Exceptional drive and precision in delivery.
- Strong experience developing business case justification for new products/services or material changes in current products/services.
- Be curious, willing to learn, and stay current on industry trends, including technology, business practices, new opportunities, competitor capabilities, etc.
- Believe that nothing is impossible and proactively identify and resolve strategic issues to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
- History of being courageous and a willingness to take calculated risks in pursuit of our mission.
EXTRA AWESOME:
- General understanding of the medical and health technology industry preferred
- Previous experience in regulated medical or health tech apps preferred.
- MBA is a plus.
YOU'LL NEED:
- BS/BA degree in engineering, information technology, data sciences, health sciences, economics, mathematics, or other similar fields
- 7 plus years’ related experience in consumer-facing software product management
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time by car or airplane independently.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $XX.XX - $XX.XX per hour OR annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts. For roles with Incentive Compensation (IC) Plans only:
The starting base pay range for this position is $130,000 - $156,5000 annually plus incentive compensation (commission-based compensation is based on the achievement of goals). Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
