The Senior Product Manager, Innovative Pharmacy Programs (Sr. Product Manager) will be responsible for managing both existing products and new product development for assigned specialty and strategic products. The Sr. Product Manager will manage assigned products over the life cycle from ideation to sunset. The person in this position oversees day-to-day activities to ensure that the relevant products are fully integrated with product development, performance metrics, client engagement and success, and sales plans. The Sr. Product Manager is the “voice of the customer” and leads the process of maintaining and improving the relevant products and contributes to the development of new ones. The role will supervise and help to train and mentor other staff. In addition, they will help identify and implement process improvement for assigned products. This role requires strategic thinking, project management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy benefit management programs and processes, including specialty pharmacy, clinical, claims processing concepts, financial value, and many other aspects required to meet the needs of payors of pharmacy benefits. Success factors for the individual in the position is continual innovation, driving concepts toward viable marketable products, and administering operational success of such products. The individual must work cross-functionally to achieve departmental level objectives in support of the strategic plan.

How do I make an impact on my team?
- Manage the assigned products through adjusting and optimizing the marketing mix as the products move through the product life cycle.
- Lead and mentor Innovative Pharmacy Programs product management staff under their supervision.
- Conduct analysis of product capacity and capabilities for managing new clients
- Develop a core competency of technical product functionality
- Develop a keen understanding of Navitus products in the marketplace to work collaboratively to expand product offerings, refine current product positioning and develop key messages for both existing and potential clients.
- Develop and continually improve strategies, objectives, and policies for the assigned products / programs, and establish and monitor high performance standards and productivity measures / targets.
- Apply product life cycle management techniques to effectively manage project scope, resources, budget, and timeline for product development initiatives
- Lead the organization from product ideation through implementation of the assigned products including future phases and enhancements.
- Work with internal teams, such as Account Management, Sales, and IT to produce marketable products.
- Develop and report to leadership key performance metrics of assigned product(s).
- Effectively manage stakeholder relationships including third party vendors
What our team expects from you?
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 3-5 years of experience or appropriate experience will be considered.
- Experiences in the health, biomedical, or pharmaceutical fields is preferred.
- Prior product ownership experience highly desired.
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
