Job Summary:
Raytheon Software Engineering is looking for a Senior Principal Software Engineer Software Test Architect to support development of the Guidance Section Kit (GSKit) SW Test Architecture, plans, and processes for multiple Advanced Technology programs. The successful candidate will develop the SW Test Architecture artifacts/views that include test description, plan, processes documents, to integrate, test, qualify, and deliver GSKit SW, including build and test automation infrastructure, for reuse by stakeholder programs.
The successful candidate will lead and support the incorporation of plans and roadmaps using the GSKit Scaled Agile Framework for the team to manage and execute. The Software Test Architect will communicate and work closely with the GSKit and stakeholder programs Product Manager/IPTL, DevSecOps Product Owner, Chief Product Owner, SW Architect, SI&T Test Architect, Common Guidance Section LSE and Chief Engineer, Systems Engineering lead, and other Product Owners to coordinate plans and provide technical direction. The SW test Architect will attend technical interchange meetings with key stakeholders and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of SW Test Architecture and provide status on assigned tasks, provide document reviews, and resolve technical software engineering and integration problems.
This position is located onsite in Tucson, AZ.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Ability to obtain program access
- Define SW & Sim integration and test vision and strategies aligned with program needs
- Develop and maintain test plans, descriptions, & processes
- Coordinate with Common GS LSE and GSKit Product Owners to ensure GSKit requirements support SW qualification test needs
- Establish vision, roadmap, and infrastructure architecture for test automation (DevSecOps) including closed-loop terminal execution on HW and FQT
- Coordinate with GSKit Product Owners, Test Architect, and stakeholder programs to identify, procure and stand-up common SW test environments
- Coordinate with GSKit Test Architect and Product Owners to align SW development and test activities with test equipment utilization
- Coordinate with GSKit team to stand up SW qualification test infrastructure (EQT/FQT)
- Coordinate GSKit Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), EQT/FQT execution and Test Review Boards (TRBs) to support software releases to programs
- Work with all levels of program, customers, and technical leads (IPTs, chief engineers, architects)
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years of experience
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience in at least two of the following: Embedded SW, Embedded SW Security, Embedded Operating Systems, C++, SW Architecture Design and Implementation
- Experience planning or executing Formal Qualification Testing (FQT) for SW Build Release
- Experience developing, maintaining, or executing SW test plans, descriptions, or reports
- Experience developing, reusing, or running SW test scenarios
- Experience planning, developing, or running SW tests on SWES, CIL, or HIL test stations
- Experience with SW requirement analysis, development, testing, or verification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating presentations for TRR/TRB
- Experience using Raytheon test frameworks, such as MAVRIC and genTAK
- Experience developing test automation & test scripts
- Experience with genSoft, genSim, genTM
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, Perl, and Linux shell
- Experience as a Scrum team member, Scrum Master or Product Owner
- SAFe certified
