Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineerto be an active participant on the software development team for Electronic Warfare (EW) projects, working with cutting edge technologies in products that protect our warfighter.

Deliverables for this role include:

• Leadership and participation on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile system and software development operations to plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
• Responsibilities include inventions and innovations of new products and technologies, from architecture and design, through integration, lab test and field test.
• Collaborating effectively with other disciplines and senior technical staff, in addition to producing planning and technical work products for internal customers to form original solutions to complex problems.
• Developing software requirements and FPGA level interface requirements derived from system level requirements, developing associated architectures, performing simulations and analysis and testing of the software in a laboratory setting.
• Work in an advanced product development team environment with systems, firmware, electrical and Software Engineers.
• This position will require occasional business-related travel.

Required Skills include:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in software design, integration and test utilizing C / C++ OR similar languages.
• Clearance and Citizenship Requirement: Must have an Active/Current DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
• Experience with embedded microprocessor design, system on a chip software design, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, flash memories, block diagrams, signal analyses and signal generation.
• Experience with the application of embedded Linux, Windows or bare metal operation systems real-time applications
• Experience with software algorithm development
• Experience in testing of products using logic analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, and system on a chip debugging tools.
• Experience with interfaces and bus standards such as: VME, PCI, PCIe, VPX, or Gb Ethernet
• Experience working closely and directly with the Customer.
• Experience with Radar technology, machine languages is highly beneficial.
• Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of relevant software development experience

The salary range for this role is 123,000 USD - 259,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
