Sr. Performance Engineer
Location: Remote ONLY if you live in the following locations: FL, GA, TX, TN, NC, VA, CO, HI
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Salary: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour
The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of overall experience in software testing with a focus on load testing, Performance Test simulations, analysis, tuning, and monitoring in an n-tier environment with Advanced understanding of API automation using JMeter.

Technical Expertise: Strong software development background combined with a passion for quality assurance and performance engineering
Must Haves:
- Strong scripting using JavaScript
- Strong PowerShell scripting experience
- Advanced understanding of API automation using JMeter
- Advanced SQL
- Hands-on experience with Azure Web Services
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Building performance and load testing frameworks based on project needs.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages: C#, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with load and Performance Testing tools: HP LoadRunner/Performance Center/NeoLoad, PerfMon, Fiddler.
- Database-level testing and analysis in SQL Server using various tools.
- Basic data mining and validation using SQL, MDX, DMX.
- Testing REST or SOAP APIs (ASP.Net, NUnit, Web API, etc.).
- Developing test plans for load, stress, and Performance Testing.
- Regression testing, black box functional testing, UI testing, and white box testing.
- Experience with Agile and Azure DevOps.
Experience:
- 6-8 years hands-on experience with scripting languages: C#, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell
- 6-8 years hands-on experience in load and Performance Testing using specific tools.
- 6-8 years experience using TFS or other source code management tools.
- 6-8 years of basic SQL experience.
Testing and QA:
- Hands-on experience testing REST or SOAP APIs.
- Basic data mining and validation using SQL, MDX, DMX.
- Experience with QA techniques (black box, white box, gray box) for various testing types.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or relevant degree) with 6 years of experience.
