Computer Programmer

Description

As a Computer Programmer at Socket, you will use your strong background in software development and programming to maintain internal software programs for business needs. Your hard working and analytical mindset will be a vital asset to our highly collaborative and fast paced IT team that seeks to provide superior internal customer service support to the Socket team. 

Job Duties: 

• Code and test programming for in-house software programs
• Debug code for existing programs based on immediate need
• Balance workday between multiple projects and respond immediately to tech support requests from staff
• Implement systems in in-house production environment
• Work closely with IT Director to report progress, issues, and concerns 
• Troubleshoot system bugs and issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of proven experience in web development or similar software development roles
• Proficient in PHP, My SQL and JavaScript 
• Proficient in unit testing and object oriented programming
• Ability to focus on multiple projects at once and to troubleshoot problems quickly
• Strong sense of responsibility and initiative
• Exhibit a learner mindset 
• In-Office Position
