SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provides field maintenance, repair, service, and installation of Chillers & Air Conditioning for the Medical Diagnostic Imaging, Television Production and Broadcast, Military Support and Emergency Police and Fire Response fields. This role requires a high level of technical skill and expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of special application HVAC equipment. Primary duties include the maintenance, service, and repair of mobile and fixed site units. This role may include, but not be limited to, piping, electrical & mechanical upfits and new system installations. The work schedule can vary drastically on a week-to-week basis. The majority of service calls are scheduled between 4am-4pm M-F, but due to the nature of the business emergency calls can come in at any time, including weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or degree in HVAC technology preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and repair
- Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must have and maintain a good driving record and be able to be (reasonably) insured
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have the physical ability to drive a large utility vehicle.
- Must be able tolerate moderate to heavy physical activity.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and climb ladders as necessary
- Must be willing to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be willing to be flexible with working hours.
- Must be fluent in the English language (both verbal and written skills required).
- Technical experience in at least one of the following trades is highly desirable; Air conditioning/refrigeration & Electrical power distribution systems
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical field service in the areas of air conditioning/chiller maintenance and repair.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including filter changes, belt replacements, and coil cleanings, to ensure optimal system performance.
- May be required to assist with maintenance and service of fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Takes responsibility for the upkeep and good working condition of the equipment and tools assigned to employee and owned by Advanced Systems Services.
- May assist with maintenance and repair of re-manufactured spare parts and equipment in stock
- Maintains legible maintenance and service reports and supportive documentation, submits information to the corporate office in a timely manner.
- Documents all parts used from truck stock and provides accurate paperwork for restocking vehicle parts and supplies.
- Maintains organized parts stock on vehicle with respective labeling and storage
- Tag any defective components or returned parts to the corporate shop.
- Maintains assigned company vehicle by regularly checking and refilling fluids, keeping the interior and exterior clean, submitting bi-weekly vehicle maintenance form indicating any service or repairs required.

Salary: $22.00 - $45.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
