Primary Function of Position:
- Contributes to the successful support and advancement of low to high volume manufacturing for consumable products.
- This position will focus on meeting manufacturing operations and product safety, reliability, and performance goals.
- Individuals in this role must demonstrate excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing, concepts process development and the ability to work with a team to develop automated identification and Data Capture (ADC) in state of art manufacturing lines.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities for this Manufacturing Engineer position include:
- Provide technical support, failure analysis, and trouble shoot ADC equipment/system (RFID, Biometrics, Smartcards, etc..); this will include physical equipment and software
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes using pFMEA as a guide to target and adjust process signals.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members as needed.
- Design, build, document and/or specify manufacturing assembly fixtures to implement RFID systems/components.
- Establish and perform IQ/OQ/PQ on equipment and fixtures, execute validations on Manufacturing lines (PPQ) for ADC systems.
- Support Design Verification and Validation (V&V) activities as ADC systems are scaled.
- Contribute to iterative component designs and manufacturing processes for reliability improvements and cost reductions.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum BS in engineering (ME or IE disciplines) required, mechatronics preferred.
- Experience in implementing RFID or equivalent solutions in manufacturing operations, supply chain and logistics is preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in product development or manufacturing environments.
- High mechanical aptitude with a strong background in software debug is required
- Demonstrated experience of implementing industry 4.0 concepts in manufacturing operations
- Experience in mid/high volume manufacturing of complex mechanisms (automation and vision system experience a plus).
Nice to have:
- Experience with creating Manufacturing Process Instructions, Procedure writing, and BOM development.
- Ability to lead cross functional teams and give clear and concise presentations.
- Use of Agile or similar lifecycle management system tool.
- Experienced in ISO 13485 medical device manufacturing environment.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.
Base Salary Range Region 1:$131,000 - $188,600
Base Salary Range Region 2: $111,400 - $160,200

Travel: 10% of the time
