Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic individual to fill the position of Sr. Manager, Project & Program Management for the Products and Experiences and International portfolios. The main responsibility of this role (70%) is technical Project Management work, which involves integration with technology & digital peers throughout all project milestones. This includes project planning & technical project delivery, risk assessment, and standards adherence & governance. The other responsibility of this role (30%) is stewarding the budgeting and scenario planning for technology and digital projects and programs. This includes developing and managing project budgets from concept to delivery. The ideal candidate will display strong leadership skills, financial & analytical acumen, and an ability to navigate a complex portfolio of advanced technology capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Project Management (70%):
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of technical project and portfolio managers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team culture
- Stakeholder Engagement: Integrate closely with technology and digital product and delivery teams, enabling a close understanding of the capabilities and software components being delivered
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, milestones and resource needs
- Project Management: Provide continuous evaluation of project developments, providing synthesized updates including project health and budget performance
- Risk Management: Continuously evaluate risk and provide mitigation tactics and issue resolution
- Executive Communication: Develop comprehensive updates aimed toward executive leads; recapping important information and alerting on critical decisions needed
- Information Governance: Propel a culture of timely information entry in project systems (e.g., MyPPM, Jira) ensuring data is frequently updated and accurate
- Standards Adherence: Facilitate the adherence to project standards, ensuring consistency in project approaches
- Documentation: Enable source-of-truth documentation to scope, acceptance criteria, change requests project timelines, etc.
- Recruiting & Resourcing: Build a pipeline of talent acquisition and management of vendor staffing
- Cast Development: Develop and coach Cast, enriching their development and opportunity to excel. Provide timely feedback
Budgetary and Forecasting Management (30%):
- Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage portfolio budgets, fostering critical project artifacts needed through project concept development (e.g., greenlight processes), as well as in initiation (e.g., Capital Authorization Requests) and delivery
- Analytics Leadership: Lead a team of analysts that manage and develop budgetary forecasts. Facilitate reoccurring needs around annual operating plans and long-term planning cycles
- Projection Modeling & Scenario Planning: Develop projection modeling and scenario planning on ongoing basis to facilitate decision-making
- Data Visualization: Deploy data visualization and analyze project and financial metrics on an ongoing basis
- Financial Acumen & Controllership: Ensure compliance with company financial standards; working with project controllers
- Partnership: Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely project reporting
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Background in software delivery including full software lifecycle (development, maintenance, deprecation)
- Experience working with engineering and UX product teams; and the ability to translate to a business/finance friendly story
- Technical Project Management: estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communication planning
- Practical experience in understanding technology project / product financial analysis, financial reporting and cause-of-change explanations across multiple teams
- Demonstrated experience in working with product-oriented organizations using agile methodologies
- Support a growth culture focused on continuous learning and adapting to achieve our goals
- Play an active role in establishing the team through mentoring of talent and recruitment
- Practiced in negotiating with others in ways that result in win/win agreements and outcomes
- Confirmed mentoring and coaching abilities to ensure effective growth, development of team, effectively matching skills to roles for individual success

- Proven track record to initiate change and act with integrity when tough decisions must be made
Education / Other Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of project & product management, product/project delivery, demand management, capacity planning and financial analysis leading to successful management of a portfolio Or Master’s Degree and 8+ years of project & product management, product/project delivery, demand management, capacity planning and financial analysis leading to successful management of a portfolio
