- Lead the Professional Affairs team responsible for managing HCP engagements with the US and Canada, including HCP consulting, royalty agreements, grants and sponsorships and open payment reporting.
- Leads the HCP/HCO defined onboarding and renewals process, rate determination via established rubric, contract and payment activities.
- Continually ensures department collaborates with compliance to develop, implement and train on department and compliance policies and SOPs.
- Collaborate with compliance and the global partners to development a training curriculum and perform ongoing maintenance, including coordination and communication to partners; implement training materials and resources to support development and knowledge attainment; update and maintain training materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness to meet evolving needs of the organization
- Provide guidance to the business partners on HCP engagement policy and procedures.
- Direct, manage, and educate business partners on the use of the HCP Engagement Platform to ensure effective, proper and consistent consultant use and engagement.
- Lead grants application, approval, contracts and payment process. Oversees the US and Canada third-party review committee
- Assure alignment with global Professional Affairs peers on cross-border HCP engagement processes and procedures.
- Run, modify, and support as needed with implementing internal policies and procedures based on procedural or policy changes; develop and track compliance metrics to identify weaknesses in procedures and proactively address remediation
- Represent the US and Canadian needs for all processes and systems relating to the HCP engagement, grants, sponsorship and royalty functions.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 5+ years Professional Affairs experience, managing HCP engagements and the payment process
- 2+ years experience managing a team within medical education/HCP operations etc
- Possesses strong communication skills (oral and written), comfortable interacting with clinicians and driving internal process change when appropriate.
- Ability to exercise judgement within the confines of a defined procedure
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and perform in a diverse cross-functional, cross-business matrixed environment.
- Interfaces with a variety of management levels on significant matters, often requiring coordination of activity across organization.
- Strong leadership and influence management skills
- Manage, hire, develop and performance manage those within function
