The Senior Manager, Patient Support & Access orchestrates an integrated plan spanning online and offline touchpoints. They oversee multichannel marketing activities focused on Patient Support and access, this includes website content, email, text/SMS, social media, call centers and more. The Sr. Manager delivers personalized multichannel marketing initiatives for patients, caregivers, advocates and healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless access to the necessary care.  The Senior Manager, Patient Support & Access will perform across commercialized products, as well as pipeline products.  Such activities include channel strategy recommendations, tactical launch plan and execution, followed by on-going post-launch updates and improvements. Incumbent will provide ongoing measurement and optimization at each stage.

Responsibilities
  • Develop provider, patient, and caregiver access/reimbursement materials, including copay programs, authorization forms, and hub letters.
  • Create integrated patient access, initiation, and maintenance tactical strategies across the customer journey to support brand and company goals.
  • Generate Patient Support materials addressing needs across the entire customer journey (decision, access, initiation, maintenance, discontinuation), encompassing program info and call scripts.
  • Gather insights and understanding in different audiences to determine the most effective and impactful materials.
  • Apply data-driven Multichannel Marketing plans to deliver targeted Patient Support at critical journey junctures.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of a new Patient Support program that sets industry standards for patient care.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and outside agencies/vendors to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and management of agencies and vendor partners, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
  • Track project deliverables, estimate cost estimates and timing, review Statements of Work (SOWs), and address delivery dependencies for on-time tactic completion.
  • Manage deployment, budget and track spending versus budget across agencies. Work with finance and agency partners for invoicing and monthly reconciliation.
  • Optimize and modify programs based on performance data, customer insights and behaviors, competitive activity and market event changes.
  • Develop business rules within and across programs that adhere to legal and compliance standards.
  • Develop measurement plans & KPIs in partnership with agency partners and Commercial Analytics
    • Demonstrate impact of programs on business performance including RX/BIF lift.
    • Ensure all activities are tied to measurable results.
    • Use data for decision making to improve effectiveness of investments.
  • Set and manage data standards for consistent reporting and measurement.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, etc.) creating effective, positive partnerships to align business needs and objectives.
  • Develop assets/communication materials with the Agency of Record (AOR) and works diligently within established internal processes to secure Medical, Legal, and Regulatory approval of all pieces.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in science or healthcare preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the consulting, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with manufacturer patient access programs including hub and specialty pharmacy models and at least 3 years' experience in marketing. 
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements, patient confidentiality (HIPAA regulations), product reimbursement and product access
  • Knowledge and experience in Medicare Parts A-D, Medicaid, and private payer policies, reimbursement process, health policy, areas of coverage, payment, coding, Specialty Pharmacy, and buy and bill.
  • Understanding of patient access and Patient Support principles and best practices, inclusive of targeted, one-to-one marketing, segmentation, and the customer journey Must have a robust digital and CRM background - inclusive of using various channels to drive acquisition, conversion, adherence/loyalty (both in and out of Pharma (preferred)
  • Extensive experience leveraging data and insights to inform strategies and optimize plans. Must be proficient in synthesizing brand and customer insights to drive the appropriate strategies.
  • Experience in creating and bringing to market various multichannel marketing tactics including but not limited to websites, email, banner, social media, 3rd party media, direct mail, print publications, paid and organic search, SMS, video, webinars/webcasts, inbound and outbound calling, etc.
  • Marketing knowledge, particularly within healthcare; and understanding of brand marketing strategies and basic marketing principles.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, and project support teams with the ability to implement changes when needed in order to achieve project objectives.
  • Proven experience with various multichannel platforms, campaign management, database & sales force CRM systems
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and lead both internal and external teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Astute in managing multiple projects and competing demands at the same time.
  • Leads by example, displaying integrity, collaboration, accessibility, adaptability, sound judgment/decision making, and an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Project management skills: proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines on multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrates responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with sensitivity for the patient's journey; ability to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, advocates and others.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and formal presentation skills.

The salary range for this position is $112,000 - $179,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.

 

This position is eligible to participate in our annual Short-Term Incentive (STI) program.  Specific information about the plan including eligibility rules and target, will be furnished upon hire.
