Job DescriptionWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Sr. Manager of Learning and Development will be responsible for driving the learning and development programs and initiatives across the business including both technical/factory focused internal training along with leadership development programs and customer-facing external training programs. Developing and implementing a multi-year vision and roadmap to identify and consolidate existing training and learning within the business while creating/authoring and potentially identifying appropriate third-party external training partners to supplement internal efforts. This role will partner with business leaders to provide organizational development through the implementation of learning and leadership development programs.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on learning and organizational development issues and assesses needs through research and consultation with the business.
- Leverage data, surveys, direct feedback, and industry practices to influence learning and development strategy, career management programs and practices, leadership development initiatives, and employee and customer learning experiences.
- Identify, design, and facilitate both internal and external learning and development solutions focused on building the leadership skills of emerging leaders, front- line supervisors, and managers.
- Consult with managers to match external learning and development solutions to employee(s).
- Develop high-quality innovative leadership development solutions, incorporating a blended approach to delivery.
- Design and deliver core learning materials focused on promoting the application of organizational competencies.
- May create collateral materials to support classroom trainings.
- Establish program deployment strategies and facilitate associated train-the-trainer or adjunct trainer programs.
- Manage designs and implements learning program policies and procedures relating to organizational development.
- Evaluate the learning and leadership development programs to determine effectiveness and manage continuous improvement initiatives.
- Consult with managers to match external learning and development solutions to employee(s).
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 10 years related experience with a minimum of 3 years designing and delivering learning and leadership development solutions.
- Facilitation certification with one or more major learning content provider(s) preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with top management and influence team members.
- Solid consulting, coaching and development skills; executive coaching experience preferred.
- Strong project management and communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong classroom management and facilitation skills and webinar delivery skills.
- Applied knowledge of learning theories, instructional design methodologies and the ADDIE Model.
- Proven experience with designing and delivering learning programs at both the corporate and field location level.
- Experience with blended learning techniques (e-learning, instructor led, etc.).
- Experience in organizational development and/or organizational performance consulting and facilitating organizational effectiveness initiatives that promote employee engagement preferred.
- Technically savvy with the ability to oversee and use learning development software programs.
- Background with Learning Management Systems a plus.
The Compensation range for this position is approximately $114,000 - $149,000 and will be based on the candidate's qualifications, experience and education.
