JOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Manager of Asset Protection and Safety, you will provide leadership and tactical direction in developing and implementing programs, policies, and initiatives to ensure the safety of our employees and guests, while safeguarding company assets. You will implement safety, loss prevention, and security functions for Denny's and Keke's brands nationwide, ensuring compliance with safety legislation, and minimizing financial losses due to theft, accidents, and other liabilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Key Responsibilities)
- Provide leadership and daily direction for safety, loss prevention, and security functions, implementing processes and procedures to achieve desired outcomes.
- Direct the protection of company assets and enhance profitability by assisting in developing and executing security and safety programs for employees, managers, and guests, while sharing best practices in safety, loss control, and assets protection.
- Support corporate field employees and franchisees in administering safety, loss control, and assets protection programs.
- Analyze safety trends in company restaurants, develop improvement strategies, and train teams and partners on safety programs, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
- Analyze data on workers' compensation, general liability, safety, and assets protection to identify loss trends and implement effective programs and tools for restaurant security.
- Ensure compliance with safety programs and regulations, collaborating with legal, workers' compensation, and risk management teams as necessary.
- Manage relationships with law enforcement and security personnel to ensure optimal support for field operations.
- Conduct investigations and resolutions in compliance with applicable laws and company policies, focusing on areas such as cash handling, theft, inventory control, and fraud.
- Conduct safety and security audits as prescribed by the organization.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration preferred, or equivalent experience in assets protection and safety.
- Prior experience in assets protection, or safety/loss control roles preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in investigative techniques and interviewing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and travel frequently as needed.
- Travel required for this position is approximately 75%-80% and is largely flight based.
