Our Midlothian headquarters is currently seeking a full time Sr. Loan Documentation Specialist.
Job Summary/Objective
Responsible for preparing all documentation required to close Commercial and Consumer loans.
Essential Functions
- Assists Commercial Relationship Managers and Branch Managers by requesting, collecting, and providing underwriting information for loan closings.
- Lead Processor for Commercial, Non-Real Estate, Real Estate, Letters of Credit, Renewals and Modifications in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Baker Hill/NextGen Functional Specialist
- LaserPro Administrator
- Gathers underwriting requirements for loan closings and assist Loan Officers with understanding loan requirements.
- Coordinates closing activities with Commercial Relationship Managers, Branch Managers, Borrowers and Attorneys to close and fund loans.
- Follows up on outstanding closed loan items to insure a completed closed file and lien perfection.
- Participates in community events and service on behalf of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
- High School or equivalent diploma.
- 10 years of experience in a Loan Operation setting
- Minimum age of at least 18 years.
- Ability to pass a background and credit check per company policies, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other industry applications; FISERV, Director and LaserPro preferred.
- Ability to adhere to and enforce all Village Bank practices, policies and procedures and complete any required training.
- Ability to work scheduled overtime when business need arises.
- Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal staff and company customers and vendors.
- Familiarity with supporting loan documents (title policies, deeds of trust, deeds, insurance) and commercial requirements (EDR, SCC, UCC's Commercial Appraisals and Business Entity Organizational information).
- Understanding of Consumer Guidelines, including TRID, ECOA, HPML and others.
- Understanding of Small Business Administration Loans (504's, Express and 7A's).
