Job description

Duties:
The Sr. Learning SystemsApp Analyst is responsible for the maintenance and support of assigned systems
/applications.

The position is responsible for the daily operations and maintaining familiarity with the Learning Management Systems, reporting applications, servers and software in order to provide guidance, support, and directions for the effective stability and growth of the system.
They will work with IT data, HRIS data as well as clinical and professionals across the system to provide data integration, reporting solutions and troubleshoot/support to fulfill our goals in education, training and compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
Leads or participates in software solution evaluation, vendor selection, and software contract negotiations with Learning Systems Application vendors.
Works with Learning Systems Application vendors to ensure understanding of system requirements and assist in conforming to the organizational standards, following governance guidelines.
Diagnoses system failures, corrects problems, and leads efforts to develop actions to prevent re-occurrence of the problem.
Researches and recommends hardware, software, and changes in procedures that will aide in the optimization of applications/systems.
Identifies, evaluates and assists with development and implementation of system processes/automation.
Evaluates and documents departmental and application workflows.
Works with users to determine training needs, developing training programs, and in providing formal and informal training on current and new systems.
Develops and maintains application documentation and support/troubleshooting of Support tickets.
Performs analysis of moderately complex data sets.
Graphs results and provides written summaries of data.
Works on projects that require increased skill in multiple environments.
Completes assigned tasks as per defined project scope, timelines and budgets for implementation.
May serve as project lead for medium to large projects.
Compiles, analyzes, evaluates, develops and/or customizes reports on the basis of customer requirements, presenting data in charts, graphs or tables for delivery to system report servers (Internal reporting software, Excel, Access).
Takes a lead role in knowledge transfer and training/mentoring of team members.
Can perform and train on all functions of the LMS to staff with Admin security rights in the LMS including, but not limited to: Registrations, Course/Class creation, Groups, Curriculums, Notifications, and People creation.
Works with users to develop requirements for new systems and/or changes to current systems.
Analyze and translate business requirements into technical system and data specifications.
Performs analysis of new features/enhancements in response to business policy changes.
Conduct impact analysis and specify functional and data changes required to meet new business requirements. Identifies the impact of changes to cross-functional areas resulting in a more effective specification, minimized project risk and efficient execution.
Acts as a team leader for projects involving multiple analysts or multiple systems.
Lead and perform analysis and design tasks related to both new and existing applications and business projects.
Completes assigned tasks as per defined project scope, timelines and budgets for implementation.
Leads testing of new hardware and software for integrity and usability, and develops and maintains project-specific system test plans, and assist with test plan execution for quality assurance. Identifies existing and/or potential project and system issues, and formulate systematic solutions to meet business requirements.
Skills:
A minimum of five years functional/operating experience in related discipline is required.
Strong understanding of project management principles and methods.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills essential to be able to interact with IT, physicians, management and staff members.
Required: LMS Management, SQL Excel, Access, data analysis, programming for complex scripts, databases (MYSQL and MSSQL), understanding of web server configuration (Microsoft IIS and Linux), Mail servers and services (Hmail and MailGun.com), Web Hosting and Domain Management, Experience in Azure and SAAS environments, and data integration/management.
Preferred: Knowledge of computer principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other closely related field. High-profile customer service interaction including phone, email, face-to-face meetings.
Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required.
Experience managing enterprise projects.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage.
Education:
High school education/GED required.
PREFERRED: Bachelors Degree.
Minimum Degree Required:
Completed High School (Diploma or GED)
