Sr It Consultant

As a Sr IT Consultant, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and technical product support of applications developed for our business partners. As a lead working in a team environment you will take on technical ownership and leadership for some of our Claims Connect and Provider Data Management applications. Strong health plan with a specialty in claims processing and/or Provider Data Management experience required.

The software application landscape within KP-IT HP-BIO Claims Development spans many platforms and technologies that include but are not limited to:

• Claims Connect Platform - Multiple applications that support the national claims solutions for Epic Tapestry. Primary role will be for leading any Java and Informatica related enhancements and change requests. Includes CMS Interoperability applications surrounding health plan claims data.
• Affiliated Provider Connect Portal - Portal application for affiliated providers. Primary Technologies: Java, JavaScript, Oracle Exadata, WebSphere Click2Cloud, Apigee
• HP Provider Data Management - Health Plan Provider data management platform. Primary Technologies: Java, .NET and SQL Server

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills are needed with energy to lead a diverse development team
• Strong technical and development background
• Strong development leader that works closely with Project Managers, Solution Design and other development team members to help define and implement technical solutions for business problems. This includes creating the physical design and overseeing/coaching a team of developers through the implementation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in software or system testing across multiple IT environments.
• Minimum one (1) year software or application development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field and Minimum eight (8) years of experience in IT consulting, business analysis, or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of experience in large scale software implementations
• Four (4) years of experience working for a health care organization
• Four (4) years of experience working for an IT organization
• Three (3) years of experience working on projects or programs requiring the integration of cross-functional technology and/or business solutions.
• Four (4) years in a leadership role working with project or technical teams.
• Three (3) years of experience working on cross-functional project teams
• Two (2) years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above)
• Five (5) years consulting experience in health plan administration.
