DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The Inventory Control function of Nestle USA directly manages inventory moves for finished goods and semi-finished goods in the physical logistics network for Nestle USA. The group interfaces continuously to provide insight with several functions throughout the value chain including: Deployment, Transportation, Physical Logistics, Customer Service, Field Sales, Nestle managed warehouses/Co Manufacturing and Finance.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Sr. Coordinator Inventory Control supports multiple sites or functions with ensuring inventory accuracy at supported warehouses/co-manufacturers and acts as the primary Nestle contact to these locations. This requires working in collaboration with cross functional internal and external teams to resolve issues and identify process improvements. You will work in a dynamic environment where continuous improvement is celebrated. Strong, fact-based communication skills, team focus, and passion for results with minimal supervision are necessary to be successful in this role.


HIGH LEVEL OVERVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Validates and inputs receipt, production and consumption, shipment and all other adjustments related to finished and semi-finished goods at contracted manufacturing facilities and warehouses. Reconciles inventory, in coordination with functional teams (Field Operations, Warehouse Group), on a recurring basis to ensure accurate inventory status in SAP for semi-finished and finished goods.
  • Resolves disputes/discrepancies with semi-finished and finished goods inventory as well as invoices.
  • Acts as key Inventory Control contact for issues related to assigned locations, to include but not limited to:
    • Champion’s problem solving: System, Process’s, Training.
    • Facilitate cross functional meetings as needed
    • Ensures Compliance with company owned and 3rd party sites and ensures Nestlé reporting requirements are maintained per agreements.
    • Systems Interaction (SAP; Power BI, Business Objects)
    • Resolve Disputes: Over, Short and Damage Processing
    • Work to proactively minimize Inventory variance
    • Organize and lead small to medium scale projects
  • Provides support in conducting and/or coordinating 3rd party physical inventories as required.
  • Acts as primary and/or secondary back-up to team members as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB ESSENTIALS/ ATTRIBUTES:

  • Communication – Excellent communication will be a key aspect of this role, primarily written and over the phone / Teams meetings. Ensuring internal and external parties are all aligned and aware of objectives. Listening, Group facilitation, information sharing, conflict resolution, etc
  • Information Monitoring – Identify/Develop/Implement monitoring and tracking systems for key measures to ensure the health of inventory information flow and minimization of inventory losses.
  • Planning and Organization - Prioritize activities and assignments using the resources available to you and ensuring you follow-up with all necessary internal and external stakeholders.
  • Building Customer Loyalty - Acknowledge the person; Clarify the current situation; Meet or exceed needs; Confirm satisfaction. Consistent and timely follow up is required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION LEVEL:
  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience / Inventory Control preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred (Finance or Accounting; Supply Chain; Operations Management preferred)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Ability to analyze data, generate insights and communicate effectively to management and external stakeholders
  • Problem solving skills, must be able to effectively present information and analysis in a way that can be understood by others at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team. Strong ability to work across functions and divisions to deliver results.
  • Demonstrated evidence of a strong team player who can build key relationships with team members across multiple functions/levels
  • Strong Proficiency with Excel.
  • Proficiency SAP, SAP BW, MS Office
