GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Senior International Admissions Advisor will provide customer service and operational support within the International Enrollment Management department. The Advisor will be responsible for delivering a smooth and welcoming applicant experience. This position serves as an advisor and resource for all students of the International Admissions funnel. This includes first-year, transfers, graduate students, and special cohorts. This position will place a special emphasis on International Partnerships and supporting international exchange and visiting students.
This position will support the overall completion and admissions decision-making on student admissions records as applicable or required; this may include but is not limited to facilitation with the College/Program Directors for admissions review/decision, collecting and reviewing admissions documents for completion, and coordinating additional document submissions from students, following up regularly with the applicants directly or through enrollment support/application processors, on-ground Illinois Tech representatives on required documents for completion of the application, ensuring application completion rules as established by the Colleges are met, processing applications for review upon completion, facilitating student record creation, facilitating with the College/Program Directors for admissions review/decision, communicating application status, application status report, facilitation of visa document issuance to international students, support matriculation and finally a collection of official transcripts, verify and load to admissions systems for application file completion upon student enrollment. This position will be a Chicago-based position. The Senior International Admissions Advisor works as part of a highly motivated professional team and is responsible for supporting the conversion of applicants to enrollment for all domestic and international students' applications.
This position will participate in recruitment and yield activities, including virtual and in person events/receptions, Institutional Partnership site visits, open houses, and college and high school fairs to help meet enrollment goals. The selected candidate will serve as a liaison between departments to insurance efficiency admission operations, on-boarding communication, and coordination of required immigration documents.
COMMUNICATIONS
Communicate extensively with prospective students and applicants primarily through email, virtual meetings and when appropriate, in-person. This position will also be expected to communicate effectively internally with Illinois Tech staff, partners, faculty and student body. This position also requires confidence in giving presentations to small and large groups.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
This position is expected to provide extraordinary customer service to prospective students, and any other individuals/organizations connected to the enhancement of the university's strategic plan.
The right candidate will have demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment, across different time zones, cultures and expectations.
Special Schedule Requirements
During peak season, this position is expected to work weekend and evening hours to meet admission goals and application targets.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
A minimum bachelor's degree is required.
2 to 3 years of experience in admissions and application processing, college admissions, and/or other customer service organizations. Prior experience working with international applicants required.
Familiarity with international education systems and academic documents required.
Knowledge & Skills
Experience working CRM application management processes and systems including but not limited to AY application systems, Salesforce, TargetX, Slate, and ERPs, including Banner for an educational institution.
Experience in admissions, counseling, and customer service is also preferred.
This position will require a flexible work schedule, including some nights and weekends, and the willingness to travel on an occasional basis.
Proven ability to work independently, excellent communication and presentation skills, sensitivity, and responsiveness to the needs of diverse constituencies, and managing goals.
Ability to multi-task and handle a wide variety of job duties and prioritize based on supervisory direction.
The candidate will need to be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.

Participate in all necessary aspects of the international admission process including processing, reviewing, and evaluating all types of international applicant files for secondary and post-secondary educational levels. Independently, make admission decisions for applicants through a holistic admission review process and ensure terms of partnership agreements are adhered to.

Key Responsibility
Duties include the understanding of application process/requirements, facilitation of strong relationships with students, and involvement with campus-wide recruiting processes. Key areas of focus include (but are not limited to) maintaining data integrity within the admissions process, improving operational processes to meet a high level of service for students, and responding to student/internal service tickets and communications regularly through the pre-enrollment lifecycle of a student.

Serve as the driver for operational efficiency as it relates to international application processing for Visiting and Exchange students, serving as a liaison to establish and develop relationships within the department and overseas Institutional Partnerships staff to foster a strong working relationship between units.

Prepare and produce statistical reports of applicants within academic or geographic territory at any given time. Serve as subject-matter expect for on-boarding and training of new team staff/student workers. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
