The Sr. HRIS Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for extracting and analyzing complex data from the Oracle HCM environments related to HR and Compensation. In this position you will identify and report on trends and patterns found within the data and make recommendations for business and process improvement. You will partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and expectations for permanent and ad hoc reporting requests, to meet the analytical data needs of the other interacting departments. This position also serves as a SME in the areas of modeling the reporting solutions, reporting writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.  The Reporting Analyst will be working with the HR, HRIS and IT teams in building the reporting models and rolling out the framework.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  •  Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Learn to turn HR data into visually intuitive dashboards that impact key decision making in the organization.
  • Demonstrate a consultative and client-oriented approach to the HR data analysis and interpretation.
  • Work independently with the business users to determine the reporting requirements. 
  • Participate in process requirements, planning and validation through operational testing to ensure the changes meet business sponsor needs.
  • Understand inter-departmental reporting requirements, design reporting models, and roll out various reports aligning with the Data security.
  • Translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements
  • Evaluate HR reporting systems to identify points of improvement
  • Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing Oracle HCM reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • IT project management experience to implement improvements 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop reporting technology solutions that help to streamline and automate HR reporting processes
  • Implement process improvements and policy changes designed to improve efficiency and the user experience with the system
  • Serve as the go-to subject matter reporting expert for the Oracle HCM system used in the organization
  • Ensuring security, end-user access, and data integrity across all HR platforms
  • Interact with HR, Finance and IT teams to ensure systems/tools are in accordance with business processes and rules; adjust systems/documentation accordingly.
  • Supports critical system maintenance and operational tasks within the HRIS
  • Support testing and roll out of all projects/process improvements that impact the HR and IT department.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong implementation knowledge on the reporting tools (Oracle Fusion OTBI, OBIEE, BIP, Tableau etc.
  • 10+ years of experience in rolling out HR reports using various reporting models.
  • 7+ years of experience in working with HR management in rendering reports
  • 5+ Experience in implementing and rolling out Oracle HCM Fusion Application OTBI and BIP reporting tools
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present information in an understandable format 
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding employment reporting
  • Maintain good working knowledge of all HR areas (HR, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compensation)
  • Understands and uses qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. Master's degree in human resource management, MIS, computer science or related degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years related experience required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential preferred.
