The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills, and location. This position is bonus eligible.

The Sr. Funding Specialist will perform brokerage transaction processing duties. These duties include but are not limited to cash reconciliation, incoming and outing transfers, distributions, cash processing on various systems, processing daily company deposit and maintaining blotters. The position will conduct tasks within a required time frame and with accuracy, adhere to firm policies and procedures and industry and government rules and regulations, and participate in the research and resolution of operational related problems. This position will carry out relatively complex, extensive, high-profile activities such and the overseeing of net cash flows and providing periodic data to senior management.

As a Sr. Funding Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and initiating incoming and outgoing securities transfers that generally represent several million dollars per day.
  • Being able to differentiate between ACAT and Non-ACAT transfers, 1035 exchanges, relevant account types and other intricate details to ensure proper handling.
  • Training and supporting financial representatives on new and pending transfer items.
  • To act as primary liaison between BLS/BLAS and Pershing’s Transfers Department.
  • Processing and problem resolution with focus on wide scale service issues.
  • Processing and depositing checks received, transfers of assets, cashiering processing, and security processing, including Automated Customer Account Transfer Service (ACATS).
  • Having the ability to identify, analyze, and advance complex issues.
  • Demonstrating excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required to bring items quickly to a resolution.
  • Identifying and anticipating customers' needs and responds by providing a high value customer experience.
  • Understanding and adheres to departmental policies and procedures and able to make recommendations to improve processes, when appropriate.
  • Speaking with clearing firm, other banks, and brokerage firms in solving problems and responding to inquiries.

The Sr. Funding Specialist position is well-suited for you:

  • Have accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts receivable.
  • If you are familiarity with industry and government rules and regulations.
  • If you can calculate basic margin requirements, strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Being detailed and deadline oriented.
  • Can demonstrate excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills.
  • Having the ability to quickly adapt processing pace to volume levels and deadlines while meeting/exceeding quality and service standards during peak periods.
  • Are experienced in technical aptitude and able to navigate operational systems and understand their interface.

What you’ll need:

  • High School Diploma required or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the Finance or related field preferred.
  • Series 7 license preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate 3 or more years’ experience with broker-dealer securities operations and Pershing back-office systems is preferred.
  • Accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts receivable.
