American National is actively seeking a full-time, Financial ReportingSenior Accounting Analyst to join our ever-growing finance team. The department is a high-profile unit in the organization that is directly involved in new initiatives that support organizational goals. Onsite Placement Locations: Glenmont, New York or Springfield, Missouri
How you will make an impact:
- Perform accounting research as required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Follow standard accounting processes as you analyze financial reports and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- Perform control functions to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely Financial Reporting
- Provision of supporting documentation for audits by internal & external auditors and examinations by regulatory officials
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or active pursuit is strongly preferred
- Insurance experience strongly preferred
- Financial reporting experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand prioritization and meet strict deadlines
- Work well in an environment centered around urgent goals
- Ability to perform self-review of work to ensure a high level of accuracy and proper presentation of all reports
- Ability to work hours outside of normal business operations during peak periods
Salary for this position can range from $76,000 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $95,000 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be evaluated accordingly based upon qualifications.
