- Monitor air emission permit conditions including, but not limited to,
- Keep track of chemical usages and equipment operating hours.
- Maintain electronic records required by the air district.
- Perform weekly hazardous waste storage area inspections and maintain proper housekeeping.
- Oversee hazardous waste disposal and maintain associated records.
- Conduct annual chemical fume hood certification testing.
- Maintain EHS programs such as the chemical tracking system and Safety Data Sheet electronic program.
- Evaluate office workstation for proper ergonomic setup.
- Respond to emergency life safety issues.
- Conduct safety walk-through of manufacturing and laboratory areas.
- Manage Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program. Collect stormwater samples and conduct inspections as required by applicable regulations.
- Maintain EHS computer-based training modules.
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in the EHS field
- Bachelor’s degree in a science related field
- Working knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety regulations
- Ability to travel to Mountain View and San Jose offices as needed
- Ability to be on call on a 24-hr basis to provide emergency assistance and response on critical life safety issues.
- Able to lift to 30 lbs.
- Proficient in the use of MS Access, Excel, and Word and Adobe Acrobat
- Able to work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision.
- Possession of the 40-hr HAZWOPER certification is highly desirable.
- Able to use a full-face respirator and SCBA and pass the respirator medical evaluation.
- Able to obtain first aid and CPR certification.
- Available to obtain ATF Explosive Possessor clearance from ATF.
Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
