THE ROLE: SENIOR DIRECTOR, SALES STRATEGY
Reporting to the CRO, the Senior Director Sales Strategy will serve as a key member of the Brand Impact Group Leadership Team (BIG LT) by leading development and delivery of revenue targets, overseeing development of customer facing materials and building GTM for long-term growth and profitability. They will oversee a team of sales planning experts and category managers and will be responsible for crafting a multi-year strategy to grow OLLY in support of journey to a $1B brand. This role will also partner closely with the field sales team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the Sales Strategy Team, developing talent, creating and optimizing processes and building the organizational infrastructure to support a $1B brand
  • Partner with the BIG LT to create and deliver against OKRs, including managing against revenue and profit targets while cultivating an inclusive environment reflective of our company values
  • Create a multi-year Sales strategy and partner with the CRO to build the sales targets for the annual Operating Plan
  • Partner with the Field Sales Team to ensure internal objectives and revenue targets are achieved across channels, including leading monthly LE and inputting into S&Op process
  • Lead Category Management team to provide compelling sales stories across key segments, pulse periods and channels
  • Partner with Field Sales and Finance to ensure effective JBP outcomes and manage P&L impact
  • Partner with BIG LT to translate impact of marketing investment into forecast and planning inputs by channel and segment
  • Evolve pricing and promotion strategy in order to mitigate channel conflict while simultaneously meeting topline and profitability objectives
  • Ensure OLLY is leading growth in key VMS segments - Sleep, Mood, Digestive Health, Beauty, Kids, Immunity, etc. by deploying effective customer strategies to drive distribution gains, promotional effectiveness and secure incremental display
  • Influence the 3yr Plan by building cohesive action plans to effectively defend against competitive threats, fuel key growth accelerators and step change the business
  • Partner with Brand Strategy and lead development of selling stories on innovation with customers
  • Prepare for key customer meetings and category reviews including setting goals, deck preparation
  • Contribute to the culture to make life at OLLY better for all of us!

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
  • 10-15 years of experience in CPG Sales with a proven track record of success working in sales planning, customer development, category management and trade planning
  • An inclusive leader with strong communication skills, a passion for team development and a high degree of comfort in giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Knowledge and experience in working with all mass trade channels (Grocery, Drug, Mass, Natural, Specialty, E-Commerce) and securing alignment from buyers in customer meetings
  • Robust analytical skills with experience in driving the P&L and successfully leading cross-functional teams through challenging business environments
  • Expert storyteller with the ability to translate data into insights and distill disparate learnings into cohesive plans to drive the business - capitalizing on opportunities and mitigating threats
  • Ability to build consensus across departments with a passion for problem-solving, collaboration, digging into the details and rolling up sleeves to make things happen
  • Sharp organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic, deadline driven environment
  • Solid negotiation skills in "getting to yes" with retail partners
  • Energized and passionate about building a transformational brand in today's marketplace

THE DETAILS
LOCATION: Remote - U.S.A
HOURS: full time, exempt (salaried)
MANAGER: CRO, OLLY
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
The pay range for this position is $152,000 - $228,000 dependent on experience and location. This position is bonus eligible and Long-Term Incentive eligible.
