Just-Evotec Biologics is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and driven Head of Procurement that desires a significant opportunity to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to take a leadership role. You will set up a strong Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), help align vendors and contractors in a strategic manner to gain the best possible value structure for delivery of raw materials, consumables, capital goods, services and indirect materials, in accordance with the global company strategy. Reporting to the SVP Global Procurement in the headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, your responsibilities will include among others:

• Responsible for procurement, analysis, negotiation and control of both laboratory and GMP raw materials, consumables, capital goods, services and indirect materials spend for Just-Evotec, Seattle and assigned sites in accordance with corporate targets and guidelines;
• Lead a team of motivated Procurement site specialists, in the planning, coordination, execution and monitoring of all operational and strategic tasks of the site procurement function;
• Lead, develop and coach the team towards procurement best practices in accordance to the group strategy;
• Evaluate and develop supplier base and partnerships through a strong Supplier Relationship Management to create a reliable and long-term source of supply;
• Support vendor excellence via agreements, process improvements, and best practices;
• Provide ongoing optimal service and support to the operational teams and provide full transparency and regular updates about critical aspects to all key stakeholders;
• Generate and analyze monthly KPI, gap analysis and corrective actions;
• Lead, guide and implement efficiency projects (local and global) with support of project sponsor
• Establish and train on procurement processes & policies in accordance to global guidelines;
• Ensure export and import activities are compliant with international trade laws and customs regulations
• Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders including manufacturing, technical operations, quality, validation, facilities & engineering, and process development organizations to understand and optimize internal processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Management or Engineering, ideally Master in SCM or similar;
• More than 5 years' experience in a procurement position and at least 3 years in senior position, ideally in an international corporation;
• More than 3 years of good manufacturing practices (GMP) experience
• Previous experiences in procurement leadership in a producing/Material Requirement Planning driven company would be of advantage;
• Capable and competent leader with the ability to influence positively others cross functionally;
• International trade and transport knowledge;
• Demonstrated experience in successful contract negotiations
• Must have superior communications skills with the ability to interact, converse and share ideas effectively with employees at all levels of business, from associates to upper management;
• Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Positive and "can do" approach;
• Sound commercial and analytical skill set;
• Must be fluent in English (German, Italian or French is of advantage);
• Proficiency in ERP procurement (SAP), inventory management and control systems, MS office, E-procurement and digital tools experience;
• Ability to work self-motivated and as part of a global team towards agreed objectives;
• Travel between sites according to business needs

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $175,000 to $230,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual's skills, experience and competitive market value.
