The purpose of the On Premise Non-Commercial Accounts team to is to manage and develop the channel for Red Bull North America (RBNA), covering all on premise accounts in which the sale of food and beverages is not their primary business (e.g., foodservice, B*I, C&U, Transportation etc.).
The Sr. Director, Non-Commercial Sales will lead Red Bull's sales efforts across the department by driving key objectives - both quantitative (revenue, volume, profit, and share) and qualitative (in outlet presence, top retail relationships, training, and development, etc.). He/she will directly lead a group Sr. Managers & National Account Managers covering the nation's leading on premise non-commercial accounts to implement sales strategies and will drive growth indirectly by leveraging Red Bull's regional teams and network of distributors that call on the individual units.
DEVELOPS/EXECUTES NATIONAL ACCOUNT STRATEGIES AND GUIDELINES
- Develop short and long-term strategies, and initiatives for the channel considering company direction, focus area, key customers, market parameters and resources.
- Create 'best-in-class' expectations with regards to distribution, visibility and pricing
- Monitor market trends and maintains data on competition in key accounts
- Activate the brand in accounts via industry and consumer marketing initiatives
- Partner with local General Managers to assess FS execution, take feedback and apply learnings and ensure NAM team works consistently with local non-commercial sales reps and distributor teams to improve overall channel business
MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF EXISTING NATIONAL ACCOUNTS
- Lead the development of all national non-commercial key accounts through strategic focus, turn-key programming and working with the On Premise organization
- Develop and maintain business relationships with senior management across key partners by adding value through thought leadership and strategic partnerships
- Ensure successful wiring of key national accounts and positions Red Bull as a 'must-carry' brand for national accounts
- Secure long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with target national accounts
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Lead the team to identify new strategies, programs and tools to ensure consistent segment growth and opportunity
- Acquire new customers through new market entry, partnering with Marketing & sales departments
- Maintain knowledge of the industry and total on premise account base
STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLANNING
- Drive the annual business planning process for Non-Commercial key accounts teams, channel programs, initiatives, and tactics
- Aggregate and analyze large amounts of complex data quickly, and distill that data into clear, viable action plans
- Allocate resources where the investment has the greatest ROI and/or with strategically important customers
- Maintain the national account budget, ensuring appropriate allocations for all existing national account customers/agreements
CROSS FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
- Actively contribute to a wide variety of Cross Functional Teams within RBNA to ensure sales representation and the Non-Commercial 'voice'
- Communicate, align, and execute associated Cross Functional Team objectives within Sales team and across RBNA
LEADERSHIP COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Build, develop, and lead a large geographically disparate team; ensure career development for entire team with focus on specific, timely and direct feedback and coaching.
- Assist account managers to develop effective programs
- Balance office and time in trade with team to understand all markets and ensure execution of Red Bull standards.
- Mine thought-leading initiatives and insights that impact national strategy and communicate best practices.
- Minimum 10 years of Sales Management experience with track record of success
- Experience in and strong understanding of the Foodservice industry in the US
- Experience in National accounts and in On Premise channel is required
- In-depth knowledge of sales within FMCG or spirits industry; DSD expertise is ideal
- Proven ability to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong negotiator and influencer, leveraging analytics to achieve desired outcomes
- Self-motivated, self-directed, flexible and able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Strategic thinker and passionate for achieving long-term success via hands on, solutions oriented approach
- Outstanding analytical proficiency; fluent in a wide range of data tools
- Strong communication skills, highly organized and manages timelines and objectives effectively; strong presentation and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to travel up to 50%
The base salary range for this position is $168,000 - 197,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
