Hasbro’s Global eCommerce Center of Excellence has an immediate need for a Senior Director, Digital Shelf Strategy and Content who wants to innovate, create, and inspire change! Consumer shopping behavior is evolving faster than ever before, and this position plays an integral role in driving content strategy to build conversion-rich content to win in eComm!


In this position, you will play a pivotal role in defining our brands’ presence across our global eComm retail partners as well as our Direct to Consumer and B2B platforms. You will develop the Digital Shelf Strategy and content excellence to drive discoverability and conversion for Hasbro’s portfolio of brands. This role requires a deep understanding of the eComm Digital Shelf environment and the consumer shopping journey, along with excellent leadership skills and a consistent track record of success in an eCommerce environment. A critical role within the Global eCommerce team, this strategic position requires a leader with experience developing teams, building capabilities required for future growth, as well as delivering real-time execution to reach commercial sales targets.

A Day In The Life:

  • Active member of the CoE Leadership Team making decisions on business strategy, direction setting for the business, and informing people development topics
  • Manage and coach a team of 20 people, across brand writing and SEO, PDP Strategy and development, and conversion solutions, establishing structure, digital playbooks, and scaling for impact
  • Develop the Digital Shelf strategic roadmap - including PDP copy, visual guides (above and below the fold) and reviews
  • - for a seamless online shopping experience that meets the needs of global retail partners, Direct to Consumer and B2B platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional and regional teams to guide creation of forward-thinking, ecommerce-ready content and assets that meet eRetailer requirements. Ensure delivery of the right content, built on the right insights, and delivered at the right time.
  • Lead a team of SEO authorities to elevate performance on a global scale by using the latest analytic tools. Develop a “win the algorithm" discoverability strategy to improve page and position ranking for organic SEO.
  • Be the authority on Digital Shelf Content; define, monitor, and analyze weekly Digital Shelf development and executional metrics. Share insights and recommend action steps to key business partners to drive continuous executional improvement. Be passionate about external benchmarking, competitive intel to define an outside-in eCommerce measurement and KPI strategy.
  • Manage key relationship with industry partners (Bazaarvoice, Profitero, VIZIT, etc) to continually evolve protocols and accelerate content excellence.
  • Cultivate effective cross-functional business relationships to create and influence new ways of working that deliver ecommerce-first content and assets
  • Build, coach, and mentor a team of Brand Writers, SEO Analysts, Creative and Project Managers. Elevate the eComm IQ across the global organization through on-going training and communication to ensure all efforts are driving toward the same goal.
  • Develop innovative test & learns to continually enhance performance and keep the business at the forefront of new opportunities and trends


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA or equivalent experience preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in consumer-packaged goods or retail
  • 4+ years of experience in eCommerce or Digital Marketing.
  • Expertise in creating profitable eCommerce strategies across a variety of platforms and customers.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple brands in the digital marketing/eCommerce space.
  • Experience managing and influencing multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Creative, inspiring leader with consistent record in turning insights into action; mining for and using trends to deliver results.
  • Proficiency in eComm analytics tools and platforms (such as Edge by Ascential, Profitero, etc.).
  • Leader with the confirmed ability to innovate in a constantly evolving industry.
  • A great teammate, with the ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and budgets.
  • Desire to work in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment, with a passion for problem solving.
