Purpose
- The Sr. Director, Data and Technology defines Comagine Health’s Data and analytics product strategy and vision in collaboration with Comagine Health leadership team.
- Provides primary oversight and leads technical and data innovation for all data products with a scope that includes a dynamic and growing portfolio of data focused contracts in the Care Management, Systemwide Quality Improvement, and Data Solutions departments.
- Creates and manages product line lifecycle and manages product development budgets.
- The individual in this role is a health information technology expert, data systems enthusiast, and translator who can move easily between conversations with data management experts on technical topics to high level health information technology strategy conversations with senior leaders, both internal and external.
- Promotes collaboration between departments around Data and Technology.
- Collaborate with external partners to identify and evaluate new technologies and solutions.
- This role requires a high level of adaptive leadership to steward a culture of data-driven quality improvement within the organization, in partnership with other key domain leaders. The Sr. Director, Data and Technology is a key member of the data solutions leadership team.
- On a day-to-day basis this may include strategic program oversight, operational excellence, and consulting with external clients and internal teams on optimizing data systems and processes.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Master’s/Ph.D. preferred.
Note: Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related field may be substituted.
Experience
- 10+ years of professional experience in technical roles, such as solutions architecture or software engineering, with the ability to engage deeply with technical teams, customers, and leadership.
- 10+ years supervisory experience of technical positions, including engineers and/or analysts.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities and/or Competencies
- Strong team leadership, including:
- Expert experience working in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of medical records, health data security, and other relevant domain-specific regulations.
