Due to growth, we are adding a Sr. Director of Clinical Account Management to our Strategic Account Management department.
We are unable to offer remote work to residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
The Sr. Director of Clinical Account Management(SDCAM) leads the Clinical Account team and applies their understanding of healthcare trends by bringing a clinical voice to our current and prospective clients. This includes directing the vision, strategy, and design for the overall clinical product and service offerings, including but not limited to utilization management, population health, specialty pharmacy, and clinical support of Medicare and Medicaid programs. In addition, the SDCAM oversees and directs all operational, financial, compliance and contractual aspects of the Navitus Clinical Account Management team. The SDCAM provides leadership, direction, and skill development for Team to accomplish key goals and objectives and leverage cross-functional support.
The SDCAM has exceptional clinical, business and relationship building skills and possesses the ability to apply sound clinical judgment to a variety of situations The SDCAM understands the PBM industry and the Navitus advantage as compared to its competitors and leverages a high level of initiative and creativity to be effective. Job success requires the ability to reason and translate clinical information, making it consumable for clinical and non- clinical audiences. Knowledge of formulary managed care systems, principles, and practices (e.g., DUR and prior authorization) is advantageous to role effectiveness. Emphasis is placed on problem solving skills, including identifying and accepting a challenging situation and creating and implementing a solution to support the Team. The SDCAM position requires the skills to select, lead, and motivate the clinical team members to assure a professional dynamic consultative style for clients. The ability to work with cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively while building consensus is essential.

How do I make an impact on my team?
- Establishes and oversees execution of departmental strategic initiatives that support the organization’s goals and growth.
- Directs, manages, and develops departmental staff through the creation of training opportunities focused on both clinical and professional skills.
- Directs and manages annual departmental budget to assure departmental financial success.
- Responsible for developing Executive to Executive relationships with strategic clients.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends by developing and maintaining relationships with industry and community groups as well as national conference participation.
- Foster cross functional and inter-professional work teams to drive results in support of the strategic plan of the organization.
- Participates in final review of large strategic health plan and employer proposals, ensuring responses align with an appropriate clinical offering to demonstrate Navitus as an industry leader; this may include attending finalist meetings.
- Partner with Account Management, implementation leaders, and the analytics team to provide quality service and intelligence that preserves our high client satisfaction scores and retention rates.
- Represent Navitus in appropriate industry events and publications to enhance market visibility in support of new business development.
- Participate as needed in meetings with clients, prospects, consultants, and brokers in support of client needs, retention, and new business development. This includes actively planning and delivery of programming to the Client Advisory Group.
What our team expects from you?
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy is required.
- 15+ Years PBM or health plan experience
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- 5+ years experience in a client facing and management role preferred.
- Experience leading organizational and cultural transformations preferred.
- 5+ years leading and developing teams required.
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
