About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Data Platform Engineer (Snowflake Specific Data Engineer) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Snowflake data warehouse. You will work closely with our data analysts, architects, and developers to ensure that our Snowflake data warehouse is optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes for our Snowflake data warehouse
- Develop CICD Pipelines and build custom data extractors/processors using Golang.
- Build and maintain efficient and scalable data models in Snowflake
- Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and developers to identify data requirements and implement data solutions
- Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and data architecture
- Optimize and tune Snowflake queries for performance and efficiency
- Implement Snowflake security policies and access controls
- Troubleshoot issues related to data ingestion, data processing, and data storage in Snowflake
About You
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong Golang programming experience.
- Being able to build and deploy CICD Pipelines. CodeFresh experience preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience as a data engineer with a strong focus on Snowflake
- In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture and best practices
- Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL optimization and tuning
- Proficiency in at least one other programming language (Python, Java, or Scala)
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration technologies
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with AWS services, such as S3, EC2, Lambda, and Glue
- Experience with Golang programming language is a plus
