This position will require 75% travel including overnights weekly in the Pacific and Mountain time zones. States for travel will be Colorado, Oregon, Washington and occasionally Wyoming and Montana.

As our Senior Clinical Quality Analyst, you would travel across the western region and the US ensuring the highest quality performance from our dedicated staff. You would also gain exposure throughout our organization and have a chance to advance into a variety of different areas.


If you are located in the MST and PST time zones, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Traveling up to 75% of the time to conduct on-site clinician and facility audits throughout the assigned region in the Western United States
  • Working to ensure our members receive the best possible treatment from a network of high-quality clinicians and facilities
  • Attending team meetings by phone to stay up to date on issues and discuss inter-rater reliability
  • Developing your own travel schedule
  • Sending letters and samples of audits to providers
  • Scoring audits and writing audit reports
  • Tracking and documenting all activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Independent licensure in the Mental Health field such as: LCSW, MFT, LPC, PhD license in you state of residence
  • Active Driver's License
  • 2+ years of experience in Behavioral Health
  • 6+ months of experience in managed care environment
  • Access to high speed internet from home (Broadband cable, DSL or Fiber)
  • A dedicated workspace from home
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time in Pacific and Mountain time zones including overnight travel
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing quality audits of medical records for Behavioral Health/substance use
  • Work experience in a role requiring out of state travel at least 25% of the time
  • Quality improvement knowledge
  • NCQA, HEDIS, and JCAHO familiarity

California, Colorado, Nevada, New York, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Nevada, New York, or Washington residents is $67,800 to $133,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
