About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Accountability Specialist to join the HR Business Risk Management Team. The position will be responsible for standards and controls in the business, ensuring effective design, assessment, monitoring, and execution through establishment of protocols, assessment, risk mitigation, oversight, reporting, and self-assurance activities.
In this role, you will:
  • Be a key member of a growing and evolving team supporting Human Resources Risk Management.
  • Manage projects and drive initiatives through implementation.
  • Develop and organize standard documentation.
  • Coordinate and organize cross-team initiatives
  • Analyze reporting and data, including trending and themes
  • Develop executive presentations to tell the story of the data, forming clear calls-to-action
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within business and contribute to large-scale, cross-functional planning related to mitigation of current and emerging business risk issues and concerns
  • Assess, analyze, and design moderately complex controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring
  • Independently make decisions and resolve moderately complex issues while leveraging solid understanding of the business's functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; lead peers and key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to address current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance or support in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
  • Partner with peers and the business in interactions with external parties to support appropriateness and timeliness of response, and effectiveness of communications and materials
  • May serve as a mentor for lower-level staff

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Project management experience
  • Experience identifying risk exposure and propose solutions as well as key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in and communicate effectively through resolution
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels
  • Ability to create and manage capacity planning and gearing ratio tools
  • Experience with Power Bi and Tableau creating dashboards
  • Enhanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, charts, and VLOOKUPs.
  • Advanced PowerPoint design skills, including development of Executive decks, with the ability to tell complex stories succinctly and visually.

Job Expectations:
  • This position will require onsite presence at one of the locations listed below in a hybrid work schedule
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
