We are building a groundbreaking electric vehicle which needs to be connected to a robust cloud infrastructure. This is an opportunity to build something new and impactful. You will work with the veteran product leaders to engineer a world-class backend that enables disruptive vehicle features and ownership features. Be a leader as Canoo disrupts and changes the transportation experience.
- Contribute to the technical architecture for our cloud application in AWS/GCP, Serverless, Terraform, Jenkins
- Participate in the software engineering work from conception, planning and product design through execution and integration
- Be an active part of the team. Step in to solve the hardest problems – code, architecture, communication
- Create innovative solutions to meet our product requirements
- Support vehicle and ecosystem launch activities

Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- Proficiency with at least one of the following languages: Typescript, Javascript, Python
- Extensive experience building highly scalable, reliable and maintainable services
- Experience with Cloud Native platforms including Serverless Framework, Lambda, Hashicorp Vault, AWS CLI, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with implementing serverless and containerized code best practices
- Strong understanding of AWS services offerings: EKS, EC2, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, RDS, Elasticache, Cloudfront, IAM, WAF, S3, Glacier, IoT Core, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, KMS,Cognito
- Enthusiasm for achieving sub-millisecond gains in service response time
- The quality-first mindset with a focus on test automation and CI/CD
- Great communication, collaboration skills, and a strong teamwork ethic
- The ability to jump into a project and contribute immediately to architecture
- Understanding of PCI-DSS, CCPA and GDPR compliance
- Strive for excellence
