Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 As a DevOps engineer on a team, play a pivotal role in crafting the definition, vision, design, road map and development of product features from beginning to end. Work effectively in an agile development environment with local and global teams. Participate in all phases of the product lifecycle, including development, deployment, and testing. Manage change requests, bug fixes, and solve issues in prod/non-prod environments. Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security. Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all team deliverables.

Required Skills:
  • 10 years professional software development experience. 
  • Expertise in deploying software as orchestrated, container-based and/or serverless workloads on AWS
  • Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines and serverless workloads on AWS .
  • Hands on with Infrastructure as code development.
  •  Solid understanding of deployment automation solutions (i.e. Jenkins,terraform,helm)
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS) and cluster management tools like Kubernetes (AWS EKS)
  • Experience with containers such as Docker
  • Experience with continuous integration and related tools such as Jenkins Pipelines, Git, Sonar, etc.
  • Experience with writing Terraform scripts.
  • Experience in creating AWS services -API Gateway,lambda,S3,dynamo tables
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are dedicated and deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with rolling out automated Canary deployments on AWS using service mesh ,Istio and Flagger 

Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience
