Job: Senior Architectural Project Manager - Commercial Project Architect
Location: Chicago, IL, Downtown office
Duration: Permanent / Full-Time
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000
Our client, a mid-western design firm located in Downtown Chicago, is looking to hire a Commercial Project Architect.
The Commercial Project Architect is a key position within the firm and is tasked with running the day-to-day production and Project Management team. In this role, candidates must be able to run multiple projects and be able to put drawing sets together very well. This is a management level position however potential individuals must be hands-on and able to be a producer when things are busy.
This position also has the opportunity for great growth and a potential firm partnership opportunity for the right individual.

Requirements:
- Licensed in the State of Illinois is required
- Self-Certified by the City of Chicago is preferred but not required.
- Great technical knowledge for detail solving on paper and in the field.
- Strong working knowledge of the ADA requirements as they pertain to Commercial Architecture
- Ability to direct, as well as roll up the sleeves and participate (hands-on AutoCAD) in many, remodel and ground up 1 and 2 story buildings simultaneously.
- A thorough command of AutoCAD is a must.
- Knowledge or use of graphic/presentation software a plus
- On occasion, travel to Midwest project locations - 6 hr. max. drive radius
- Mentor/Trainer of new Architectural Project Managers
- Building Code & Energy Code understanding
- Commercial Architecture
- Repeat details and fine details honing and fine tuning.
- New Build / Free standing experience plus existing structure experience
