The Senior Analyst, Shipment Planning is a pivotal orchestrator, playing a key role in overseeing and implementing strategic planning activities to optimize released shipment schedules. Focused on enhancing on-time delivery, maximizing asset utilization, and minimizing supply chain costs, the Senior Analyst is a crucial contributor to operational efficiency. Ensuring seamless coordination of network shipping operations for improved overall performance, the Senior Analyst brings a strong systems mindset to strategically navigate SAP ERP and (TMS) Transportation Management Systems. Their adept handling of technology platforms is instrumental in driving organizational goals by ensuring seamless integration and coordination across various systems. Leveraging expertise in TMS and SAP, the Senior Analyst facilitates efficient communication channels, thereby enhancing overall operational effectiveness and contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives.
Specific Responsibilities
Shipment Planning Execution with TMS Collaboration
- Execute Shipment Planning processes for K&B North America sites in collaboration with our external Transportation Management System (TMS) provider. Ensuring that daily loads planned align with customer demand and distribution requirements, leveraging insights from our TMS partner.
- Maximize cube utilization while meeting customer commitments, with a focus on collaborative efforts with our external TMS partner.
- Adhere to service level agreements based on value stream and delivery priority.
Process and System Enhancement with TMS Integration
- Drive the implementation of the K&B North America Supply Chain strategy.
- Analyze, recommend, and implement improvements to planning processes and systems, including delivery creation (inventory allocation), load building, consolidate shipments, route scheduling, etc., with a keen focus on integrating suggestions and capabilities from the TMS provider.
- Provide support for continuous improvements in the supply chain to enhance on-time delivery and reduce costs for customer and interplant deliveries.
Problem Solving and Resolution
- Identify, analyze, communicate, and proactively address order management bottlenecks.
- Monitor external supply chain risks, alert operations, and assist with contingency planning, collaborating with the TMS provider to navigate challenges.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain Associates, Warehouse Operations, Transportation, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations Planning (S&OP), IT.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Computer Information Systems or Business Analytics (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in the functional areas that contribute to supply chain planning
- MS tools: Excel, Power Bi, Tableau or other business intelligence software
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP Order-to-Cash Process
- Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Ability to influence supply chain teams to take pro-active action to manage risks and recommend operations changes to address chronic process and system issues
- Proven problem solving capability, experience with 5-why, 8D, 6Sigma or other methodologies
- Demonstrates initiative is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility
- Attention to details, work organized, effectively prioritizes and performs multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication within multiple level of organization
- Effectively balance on-time delivery and supply chain costs goals

The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $85,650. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
