Overview:
The Billing Rates Analyst is responsible for putting into effect negotiated client fee arrangements, analyzing, communicating, and ensuring compliance of Outside Counsel Guidelines while supporting the billing, e-billing, and pricing functions.
Responsibilities: - Understand the client arrangements cycle thoroughly and manage the exception rates.
- Maintenance of timekeeper rates records.
- Review and analyze our client fee arrangements to ensure the corresponding billing information is implemented properly in our financial and legal management system.
- Review, analyze and implement Outside Counsel or billing guidelines received from clients to identify new requirements that will have an impact on the client’s billing process or realization.
- Communicate the client fee arrangements and billing requirements to appropriate Firm teams and personnel effectively.
- Conduct root cause analyses to identify opportunities for process improvements and training.
- Assist with data clean up to enhance 3E functionality.
- Maintain status reports for rejected invoices due to rate errors for the billing and e-billing teams.
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Legal Billing or professional services billing preferred
- Experience with or exposure to hourly rate billing required
- Experience with 3E as well as e-billing preferred
