BJ's Restaurants is looking for a curious and motivated individual with strong analytical skills to join our Corporate Strategy team as a Senior Analyst. Candidate MUST possess experience with Forecasting Sales and/ or Pricing Menu Items.  The Senior Analyst works within the Finance team to provide support to the C-Suite and to help support strategic decisions of the Company. This includes providing clear concise financial information and recommendations on key initiatives to the Executive team and business leaders. Responsibilities

Pricing Analysis:

• Develop and implement pricing strategies for menu items, considering factors like cost, demand, and competitive positioning.
• Conduct market research on competitor Pricing and industry trends to identify potential opportunities or gaps.
• Collaborate with culinary and marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment, focusing on creating demand by optimizing price elasticity.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of pricing strategies using statistical modeling and market trend analysis, aiming to optimize pricing for maximum revenue while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Sales Forecasting and Analytics:

• Analyze current sales trends and historical data to forecast future sales performance, identifying seasonal variances and market shifts.
• Identify key sales drivers through data analysis and provide insights for enhancing sales and profitability, such as optimizing menu placement or promotional strategies.
• Utilize advanced predictive modeling to improve forecasting accuracy, helping the company anticipate market changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, offering strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
• Evaluate external factors such as economic indicators or consumer trends that influence pricing & sales and suggest proactive adjustments to our strategies.

Collaboration and Interaction:

• Work closely with various departments including supply chain, operations, and marketing to understand all factors influencing Pricing and Sales, fostering a collaborative approach to decision-making.
• Actively participate in cross-functional teams for menu development and promotional activities, bringing a data-driven perspective to the table.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and executive teams, clearly communicating complex data in an understandable way for informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 2 years in Analytics, Financial Planning/ Consulting
• MUST have experience in Analyzing and Forecasting Sales and/ or Pricing Menu Items
• MUST understand Comp Trends
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience using BI tools a plus (Tableau, Power BI, Dossier in MSTR)
• Experience in the restaurant, retail or hospitality space is a plus
• Flexibility to work in an agile environment with changing priorities
• Be able to think outside the box and problem solve
• Self-starter who takes the initiative and challenges the status quo
• Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Must be extremely detail oriented, organized and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Have a natural curiosity about the business and be comfortable questioning things that do not make sense

Pay Range
USD $90,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
