Sr. Analyst [hybrid role with Accounting & Finance/FP&A]
Our client is a large publicly traded company, backed by Warren Buffett's PE firm is on a growth mode. One of their BUs/Divisions located in the South Bay is seeking a driven and motivated Senior Analyst or Financial Analyst to join their team. Title depends on experience, but it's a hybrid role with Accounting & Finance responsibilities (FP&A, Financial Reporting, Cost Accounting & Analysis, G/L Accounting).
Summary:
This Senior/Financial Analyst role would assists in the preparation, analysis, and distribution of the financial statement package for facilities and division. Responsibilities include the follow-up to inquiries made regarding issued financial statements, as well as special projects assigned by management by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing and distribution of monthly/quarterly/year financial statements.
- Perform detailed financial statement analysis, including discussions on various issues.
- Assists Division Controller/Assistant Division Controller and VP Finance with audit and SOX related issues and projects.
- Responsible for inventory reconciliations, E&O reserves, inventory capitalization (FCA) and explaining manufacturing variances
- Assist Controller with forecasting and budgeting process
- Responsible for inter-company, bank , fixed assets and account reconciliations
- Communicate with co-workers, management, auditors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Serve as liaison to location Controllers, assisting them with accounting related service issues.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of Accounting and/or Finance experience in Audit, GL/Cost and/or Financial Planning, Analytical experience.
- Proficient to advanced in Excel [pivot tables, v/hlookup, sumifs, etc]
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
