Sr. Accounting Manager

Summary
The Sr. Accounting Manager will lead a team and manage the month-end close process, including compliance with US GAAP, corporate policies and external audits. The Sr. Accounting Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and work closely with all team members in the organization to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
This is a hybrid position with flexibility to work remote part of the week.
Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end accounting close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion
• Prepare and review journal entries, and completion of balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation and review of the monthly financial reporting package
• Analyze financial results and work closely with FP&A to explain variances
• Monitor Accounting KPIs and communicate results to management
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements
• Assist with external audits, which includes preparing supporting schedules and reviewing work of the accounting team prior to submission to the audit
• Oversee and lead the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring all transactions and cash receipts are consistent with the company’s accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain an effective internal control environment over the accounting and financial reporting process
• Effectively lead a team of direct reports, including training and development, as well as goal setting and performance management
• Anticipate accounting challenges related to new business initiatives or changes in US GAAP, and proactively build the necessary infrastructure to support the business needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting/financial reporting experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing direct reports
• CPA License preferred
• Knowledge of US GAAP practices and processes
• Experience with mid-to-large tier ERP system
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Travel Requirements: occasional travel required to Sapporo-Stone Brewing locations

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

• Annual Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000
• Annual Bonus Plan: 10% of Annual Salary

Pay: $130,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Escondido, CA 92029
