Sr. Accounting Manager

Position Overview

Navistar has a great opportunity for a Senior Accounting Manager - Navistar Financial Corporation.

 

Navistar Financial Corporation provides financing of new and used truck, bus, tractor for Navistar's International brand truck dealers, IC Bus dealers, and customers who purchase Navistar products.

 

This position supports Navistar Financial's overall compliance with accounting rules and regulations. This is a hybrid position that is based out of our Lisle location.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolution of significant and / or non-routine transactions, including but not limited to: leasing and financial instruments (including ABS transactions), derivatives and hedging, expected credit losses
• Engage with Navistar Financial business operations on various proposed transactions and agreements
• Partner with the business by contributing accounting and financial analysis and recommendations
• Collaborate with funding team on hedging needs to mitigate interest rate risk
• Prepare technical accounting position papers
• Perform financial analysis on monthly and quarterly results
• Review and coordinate with Navistar Financial Mexico
• Coordinate deliverables with internal and external auditors
• Ensure compliance with applicable internal control standards related to area of responsibility
• Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting 
• At least 6 years of accounting experience
• At least 3 years of leadership experience

• Bachelor's degree and CPA
• At least 6 years of accounting experience
• At least 3 years of leadership experience

OR

• Master's degree in accounting 
• At least 5 years of accounting experience
• At least 3 years of leadership experience

OR

• Master's degree and CPA
• At least 5 years of accounting experience
• At least 3 years of leadership experience

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

• Current CPA strongly preferred
• Big four public accounting experience a plus
• Financial services experience is a plus
• Experience with IFRS a plus
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to work cross functionally
• Self-starter and has the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
