As a Senior Accountant at Agile CFO Solutions, you will work with the CFO to provide expert accounting services to our non-profit clients. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of non-profit clients, overseeing their financial operations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the financial stability and success of our non-profit clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of non-profit clients.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
Understand each client's unique needs and tailor accounting services accordingly.
Financial Reporting:Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for non-profit clients, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure that financial reports comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and any relevant regulatory standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting:Collaborate with non-profit clients to develop and monitor annual budgets.
Assist clients in creating long-term financial forecasts and projections to support strategic planning.
Provide guidance on budget management and variance analysis.
Financial Analysis:Conduct financial analysis for clients to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Offer financial insights and recommendations to assist clients in making informed decisions.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as needed.
Audit and Compliance Support:Assist non-profit clients in preparing financial documents and schedules for external audits.
Work closely with auditors during the audit process to ensure a smooth and successful outcome.
Ensure that clients remain compliant with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Grant Management:Manage financial aspects of grants for non-profit clients, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements.
Collaborate with clients to ensure proper allocation and utilization of grant funds.
Account Reconciliation:Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records for clients.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to accounts and transactions.
Systems and Technology:Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems and processes for clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
- Several years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a focus on non-profit clients.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
