The Senior Accountant will be directly responsible for overseeing various accounting activities, including monthly close, reconciliations, and reporting/analysis of business transactions. This role entails specific responsibilities such as managing sales commissions, intercompany transactions, capital expenditures, banking activities, account analysis, and other general accounting functions. Moreover, the Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in collaborating with the on-site Leadership Team to develop and deliver the site's budget and forecast. This position requires a strong foundation in technical accounting knowledge and will involve providing critical analysis and information. Close collaboration is expected with different corporate and on-site departments, including operations, treasury, tax, human resources, IT, and risk management.
What You'll Do:
- Perform month-end closing duties, including journal entries, reporting, analysis, and reconciliations.
- Prepare wire transfers.
- Assist with revenue recognition packets, multi-element arrangement analysis, and other sales-related activities.
- Support annual audit preparations.
- Support improvement of the accounting/ERP system (Oracle).
- Maintain accurate balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Compile and analyze financial information for journal entries.
- Assist in the monthly close process and preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Coordinate intercompany account reconciliation.
- Assist with SEC-required financial statements and reports.
- Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
- Perform monthly revenue recognition according to ASC606.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements.
- Assist in annual budget preparation.
- Perform other related and ad hoc duties as assigned.

- B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience required, manufacturing accounting experience a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
- Capital expenditures experience a plus.
- Experience in reconciling, analyzing, and maintaining general ledger accounts is required.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applications of accounting principles.
- Excellent Verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle sudden changes in project/priority and multiple tasks simultaneously in a positive fashion.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics to include the calculation of figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages to practical situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, Oracle experience a plus.
