Sr. Abstracting Analyst & Participations

Yoh has a 9 month contract, possibility of extension, for a Sr. Abstracting Analyst & Participations within the Entertainment & Media Industry to join our client in a Hybrid Capacity, out of Burbank, CA.

• $49.24/hr. Maximum Hourly Rate
• 9-6PM OT as necessary
• Hybrid 2-3 days a week OnSite

The Senior Analyst position is responsible for creating TV participation summaries (abstracts) that provide all information needed for participation statement set up and review. Position reviews and understands contractual agreements, ensuring that all financial obligations are properly reflected in the abstract summaries. 
What You Will Be Doing

• This position reviews legal agreements for co-producers, producers, talent, and agency agreements and prepares summaries in accordance with standard abstract format conventions.
• Follow up with Legal and Business Affairs Executives regarding missing or ambiguous deal terms. Using a variety of source information, prepare product information page, participant summary page, term deal analysis page and contact information grid.
• Proactively review deal terms with Set up and Reporting groups during hand offs and respond to questions timely. 
• Help create standard templates to be used for client original productions (scripted and unscripted).
• Assist in the analysis of individual projects to determine quarterly priorities.
• Understand Jira project management tool and update tickets appropriately. Meet all quarterly deadlines as assigned. 

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Must be able to review legal agreements, financial data, and calculations for reasonableness and determine when an issue needs to be researched or escalated.
• Must be able to reasonably identify missing participants and follow up for agreements
• 2-4 years experience within Finance & Accounting within the Entertainment Industry, Contract/Legal Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, legal, accounting, information systems, or related field
• Proficiency in software including PARIS (Tableau), JIRA, MS Suite- Advanced Excel & other Accounting Systems
• Ability to read and understand digests and abstracts of legal agreements.
• Ability to adapt and learn new technology quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent multitasking, organization and time management skills.
• Must have very strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Must be flexible to changing priorities.
• Must have strong mathematical and algebra skills.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, meet tight deadlines under fast paced environment, and work overtime as needed.
• Solution oriented individual who can work in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume environment and think outside of the box.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
