Position Summary
TheReport Developer is primarily responsible for developing reports and presentations that support iDC Logistics strategic plan. Job duties include importing, cleaning, transforming, validating or modeling Logistics Business data with the purpose of understanding or making inferences for decision or management purposes. Ability to work projects from start to full completion of project requirements
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with stakeholders and development team members to define reporting requirements and deadlines
- Participate as part of Project team to interact with iDC Logistics CTO teams, Vendors, Customers, and business subject matter experts to understand business
- Work closely with business and technical teams to translate business knowledge needs into technical development requirements
- Responsible for design, development, and implementation of ad hoc analytic KPI reporting and visualizations with dashboards.
- Recommends and provides guidance regarding potential data warehouse improvements and advancements
- Creates and maintains technical documentation for reports and deliverables
- Provides support for investigating and troubleshooting production issues
- Participate in the establishment of group standards and processes
Minimum Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in data-centric industry role (ETL, DBA, Junior SQL Developer, SSRS, etc)
- 3-5 years of experience with SQL databases (MS SQL Server preferred, but not required)
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred), plus three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL including complex SQL queries and best practices
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience performing self-directed work in a team environment
- Proven ability to learn complex data systems
