Manages multiple, moderately complex projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants or managers. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems. Always On performance and tuning including for large high tier environments. Computer Science degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience.
Manager would like for the resource to have experience with SSIS, which is a must have, but as it relates to working with SSRS, SSAS (dbcc, backups, re-indexing), they just need to have knowledge of that.
This team normally gets 14 new projects a year, so this team is very intense and fast paced, thus the reason they are looking for expert level resources that can jump in and the hit the ground running as quick as possible.
Note: Not looking for candidates that have just done production support, but they need to have experience working with SQL Server and understand what the needs are for architectural changes etc.
Desired Skills
Prior Bank MS SQL DBA experience, preferably on the App DBA side. Strong sense of problem and client ownership. Ability to deliver within a project structure. Has utilized Guardium and Splunk for monitoring.
Top 3 Must Have Skillsets Required :
7 years as SQL Server Database Administrator, preferably on complicated systems with some t-sql coding
SQL Server Database Backup/Recovery Management
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication/Coordination Skills
