Our client, who provides a world-class SaaS platform for large legal settlements, is looking for a SQL Server Database Engineer to play a pivotal role in improving and developing critical systems and next-generation enterprise reporting and analytics infrastructure.
The role involves consolidating data from various systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MS SSIS to import data from flat files (Excel, Access, SQL) for transformation and delivery into SQL Database. Skills in transformation procedures, looping techniques, scripting techniques, data parsing, data concatenation, and data type conversion are essential. Must be open to supporting legacy systems (SQL/SSIS) while contributing to developing next-generation Enterprise reporting and analytics infrastructure.
Requirements:

• 7+ years Microsoft SQL Server.
• 5+ years' Microsoft SQL Server SSIS, including knowledge of built-in tasks/transformations SSIS provides natively.
• 5+ years' DBA skillsets with strong performance monitoring and tuning skills.
• 3+ years' Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Solutions; PowerBI.
• 2+ years managing CICD Pipelines for Database code/infrastructure deployments
• 3+ years creating ERDs leveraging data modeling tools
• Knowledge of C#, VSTA, Visual Studio 2017 Community edition or greater required.
• Knowledge/Experience writing control flows, data flows using scope parameters, derived columns, and scoped connection managers required.
• Knowledge of GIT and GIT command line required.

Preferred:

• Experience with Elastic
• Experience building AI\Client models.
• Knowledge of JIRA

Responsibilities:

• Create SSIS packages that consume data in files and MS Databases, transform the data, and load the transformed results into a MS SQL database.
• Create complex stored procedures, views, and reporting queries.
• Build Reports leveraging MS Power BI.
• Get up to speed on all products currently leveraging MS SQL Server and SSIS to provide enhancements, defect resolution, and performance optimizations.
• Leveraging Visual Studio and Visual Studio Tools for Applications (VSTA), you will write and maintain C# code to run as scripts during transformations as required.
• Leveraging Visual Studio, you will deploy SSIS packages to various cloud-based environments.
• Leverage MS Excel or other tools to create and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Track your progress with JIRA.
