TheSpring Wind Turbine Engineer Intern, will play a vital role in supporting the Technical Services team at RWE Clean Energy. The teams focus is to provide support and expertise on the different Wind Turbine systems for development, construction and operation. This role will primarily focus on Wind Turbine systems, with specific emphasis on the generator, converter, controller, lubrication, and cooling systems. Your main role will be to support the creation of troubleshooting guidelines for turbine faults and alarms. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector while working closely with a team of seasoned experts.

Responsibilities:

- Alarm Analysis: Collaborate with the Operations department to gain insight into the most frequent alarms experienced within the Wind Turbine fleet
- Fault Resolution: Work closely with other engineers to dissect the root causes of faults and develop potential solutions
- Guideline Creation: Craft comprehensive troubleshooting guidelines within the RWE system, detailing the necessary steps for resolving alarms, and ensure these guidelines are readily accessible to the Operations team
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited US university program, pursuing a degree in electrical, mechanical or computer science engineering
- Any experience or coursework related to electromechanical systems and controllers is a plus
